Introduction-Sherlin M.

Sherlin Munoz

Intended Major: Psychology

Pronouns: sher/her

Hello everyone, my name is Sherlin Muñoz. My intended major is Psychology, I was inspired by my counselors and school psychologist that helped me during my high school years. Being able to understand and help someone struggling with their mental health is my dream as a career. I want to specialize in helping younger kids that are struggling. Older generations don’t believe in depression or mental illnesses so they don’t find their children or families that need it. Brining the topic of mental health to everyone is important because it lets them know there are people that can help. That’s why taking this class is of my interest. My first impression of this class was me being interested because I don’t enjoy writing as much, but I’m excited to learn from this class. I feel like I need to work on my vocabulary and grammar a lot.

I’m excited to go more in depth on the world issue that many different people face and fight for. Learning about people’s experiences gives me a broader perspective of the world. I enjoy listening to people’s stories and listening to the advice that many have to share. Psychology goes along with social sciences because learning about world issues gives us a better understanding of the struggles that many people are going through. Especially on the current issues in the world that have to do with people’s cultures. I’m excited to learn more and meet my new classmates.

Thank you
